Very pretty campsite and well maintained by DOC. Was almost empty when we stayed in May and very quiet. Some issue with midges but not too bad. We had idyllic site overlooking the river.

Beautiful campsite, nice nature and clean flush toilets. Sink with non potable water. Quiet, but you can hear the birds, sheep and roosters (especially in the morning). We did not see anyone from DOC to check bookings.

Beautiful site included in the DOC pass. Clean flushing toilets felt luxurious compared to many sites we’ve stayed at, and everywhere was quiet and peaceful. Nice river at the bottom, and picnic tables to cook & eat on. A bit confusing to get to as we didn’t see a sign before getting onto a long gravel road, but you do eventually get there. Only downside was the bugs, as we couldn’t spend much of the evening outside before we were getting swarmed. Pretty much no phone signal.

Really lovely campsite, with a pretty river (with a swimming area) great views of mountains and lots of space. Flushing toilets. Beautifully maintained.

Good spot, lot of space, probably a nice view (too much rain to be sure), fire spots, clean flushable toilets, non drinkable water, no phone reception. Too expensive for what it is : no cold shower, no shelter, no drinkable water... Feel fooled to pay the fee for this.

Beautiful campsite among green hills with lots of space and few people. Sites are on well-maintained grass fields. Along the campsite is a river that you can swim in and there are spots to make campfires.

Very nice campsite, heaps of space for everyone. Loved the birdsongs in the morning. Don’t forget the insect repellent!!

Wonderful spot. Able to pick a spot right by the stream. Lovely hosts. Thank you Clive and Marian Te Awamutu

Second time here so it must be ok ? this time there was less travellers so beautiful and quiet. I would reccomend this place and i will return
