Beautiful place to come with your family! We enjoyed the morning feeding the little sheeps :) They have a lot of animals!!! The staff is very friendly and the holiday park is cleaned, the kitchen is fully equipped and the showers are really hot and cleaned. 100% worthy

Probably you can camp at any Caroline Bay parking that says 9pm-9am and pay 20 NZD via app. Toilets are ok, big changing room. After 9am its a great free parking spot. Best part about it where the penguins. Recommend ear plugs as the harbour is noisy and they work all night.
Whilst we couldn’t stay at Peel Forest itself (closed til 16 Oct 26), we used Clarkes Flat next door. Only ones there. It’s brilliant. Lovely and quiet. Excellent wooded and river walks in the area. Great toilet facility with flushing water and paper. A nice little shelter that has a chimney. Very much worthwhile popping in after a visit to the Big Tree / Geraldine!
This camp site is a little gem, so tidy, everything we needed. Great for adults and children. We had the best night sleep as nice and peaceful ✔️🚐 Kitchen facilities ✔️great Laundry coin operated, did a great job and I utilised the outside lines, plenty of pegs ✔️ Sitting room ✔️cosy and good fire 😊 Didn’t try out the showers but they looked tidy ✔️ We visited mid September so there was no need to book.
