It’s 6.7 km from car park to hut. Took us 2 hours (including water stops). Nice uphill walk. Hut is fairly big and has log burner with wood if it gets chilly.
The sunrise was just amazing! The hike is quite steep, but we made it up in 1.5 hour. We were driving with nissan caravan camper but other cars also made it. You have to drive through some private farm lands, so just don’t be afraid to open and close the gates, you have to pass like 3 private farmlands to get to the parking lot.
Amazing views from the top on the mountains on a clear day. Otherside oversees the valley. Super easy to get there, everything is signposted. Went with a Ford Transit and was fine but dont know if i would take the ride with a bigger campervan. Good walkingpath that gradually brings you to the top. Would totally recommend (one of the most populair hikes under locals)
No issues with the road, we were fine to drive to the parking lot in a wagon. The track up isn't the most exciting - not that much in the way of views - but the view from the hut is phenomenal!! Definitely worth staying overnight to see the epic sunrise. There's a beautiful viewpoint up to the left of the hut (if you're facing the hut). Can get very, very windy up around the hut. Bring toilet paper as there was none up at the hut nor at the parking lot toilet.
A good walk, we went as far as the saddle and back.
Difficult to access but really worth the stunning view at sunrise
Unfortunately didn't find it and it's silly to do this track with a normal car
