Very homey and welcoming place. Beautifully serene and the black lab Nelson was our favourite. The site was well kept and clean. One shower & one toilet in a bit of an interesting outdoor setup. (Shower was hot) But the indoor community space was super homey and nice to cook and hang around in. To grab water and dump waste for vans you’ll need to go to the Rangiotu Dumping place. I don’t think there was wifi and phone signal for us wasn’t great
Huge riverside site with clean flushing toilets and sinks (no soap), cold showers and water (though sign at the front says potable, inside the campsite you're advised to boil/treat) So much space to park up by the river and cliff faces and lots of privacy Hard to believe this is free for most of the year, would definitely recommend! Not much phone signal but you can catch it in certain areas if needed
Peaceful off season. A few powered and unpowered sites. Basic facilities but all you need. Very clean and friendly people.
