The quietest and nicest spot we've stayed in, for a free one, since we arrived. The toilets were clean, I didn't try the shower.

Really beautiful place!!! It has toilets (they are clean) and cold showers (for free). Apart from that you have really nice surroundings including a river where you can jump in. It's really calm there at night and it was for free when we went there

Amazing spot by the river. We were here during Easter school hols so it was free. Great amenities, clean toilets and (cold) shower cubicles. So lovely to be able to light a campfire by the river. Lots of space and so peaceful. Dog friendly and great for families. We will definately be back to this lovely spot!

Went by the other reviews here, and can agree, it really was an awesome spot. Spacious, great river, clean toilets, well kept grounds AND free from Mar-Nov. No phone signal.

What a find! Huge site, clean toilets, cold showers, space & peace & quite, right by the big river bed & towering cliffs on the other side.

Awesome site! Big open grassy area along with areas right by the river. Free in the off season, charges only from November and can pay online which is awesome. We didn’t use the toilets but what a cool spot, can hear the birds echoing off the cliff and witnessed a few rock falls across the river. No cell signal if you care about that. Rangiwahia reserve has a walk not far that makes an awesome day trip.
