Very basic camp with old buildings, tiny old kitchen with 2 rusty elements to cook on and share. Cameras everywhere Mostly longterm folks/ caravans set up with a few available spots. Nice friendly owner and non timed shower was good,temp and pressure fluctuates with water pump/ other showers in use- 2 for female 2 for male. I paid $16 for a powered site for van. Pet friendly so several dogs

Excellent value for money

The recent revamp of facilities means this lovely quiet, out of way place has everything fresh and clean. Lovely walks available to the river and ocean. And an amazing host. Absolutely wonderful. Excellent for a chill out, peaceful spot with amazing sunsets and the birds are the loudest ones here.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Tangimoana Motor Camp! The facilities were clean, the staff welcoming, and the location perfect – with a river, forest, and ocean beach all within walking distance. Tangimoana Village felt like stepping back to New Zealand 30 years ago, with friendly locals and a relaxed vibe. The fishing at the mouth of the river was excellent, and we local markets and fishing competitions.

A lovely little campsite, close to the beach and river estuary. Beautiful sunsets at the beach, a short drive away. The site facilities are very clean, great free hot showers, quiet site. Ken who runs the place was one of the most welcoming and friendly people we have come across on our travels through New Zealand. We hope to come back and to stay again.

A great little campsite! Ken who runs it is fantastic...we were here for Easter and he dropped chocolate eggs round to everyone staying! Short drive down to the beach, good facilities and investing in developing the site. Small, local feel with a dairy round the corner. Loved our stay!
