Really nice views! For $25 (2 people) powered site, unlimited hot water- even with ok pressure there are no complaints. Stayed at $40 a night places with less. Everything is dates but we found them to do what was needed. Hot water in kitchen, so we could finally wash the dishes properly. For backpackers like us, living out of the car for a year it was so nice to have these few luxuries. Owner is really kind and super helpful too!

Absolutely fantastic place and people. I arrived late and left early for work but the owner gave me the shower code at 6am and pumped up my deflated tyre!!

Great value and on the way down to wellington pretty much. The comments below about cleanliness are harsh - kitchen m, bathrooms and showers were all well kept and unlimited hot water shower is such a plus! Just standard campsite level some bugs here and there. We loved it and the host (can’t remember your name sorry!) was super friendly. Woke up to gorgeous view of lake too

What a great place. Lot of space. Kitche an toilets a bit old but super clean. What els do you wisch for this litle fée. And oh, the beautiful snel of the pine trees

The womena showers are gross with build up on the walls that has been there for months and not been touched. The shower head wouldn't cost much to replace and the shower curtains probably need burning. This was once an Iconic holiday park. Disgusting hygiene standards. One of the staff smelt like he never shows.

Nice location with the lake but facilities are way past their prime, infact it was embarrassing to think the council thinks the facilities are up to standard

Stayed here 7.12.2024 for one night. Very nice campground in a very beautiful spot by the lake. Has all you need, clean kitchen, showers and toilets. The owners were super friendly and fun! Would totally recommend and hopefully I get to stay there again :)

Great place to stay not too far off the route to Wellington. Facilities are rustic but clean and functional, it reminded us of summer camp. Lots of space to park, and everyone was friendly. Three bars of service with Spark. Super reasonable price for what you get!
