Friendly owners, very basic, hot good pressure shower included in your $15 Also is the washing machine. Nice walk down the river, quiet and peaceful.
Stayed four nights loved it close to beach and river next door. Fresh fish for lunch. Fun had by all. Highly recommend. Owners very friendly
Nice cheap campsite yes
Quiet, excellent camping spot. Small lawn. But be careful: the water that goes through the pipes has too high an iron content. You see it and you taste/smell it. Free cold machine wash is offered, but some garments are completely discoloured. Rust stains. The owner was friendly, she let us pay half the money for one night. When we showered a little later, our towels also turned orange when dried. We are afraid that this will no longer go away. The owner does not seem to be offering a solution for this, so be warned!
Lovely little campground. Good facilities. And quiet. Town of Bulls is around 20Km and beach is a short drive and walk over the dunes. Good value for money and super hosts.
Nice stop on the way south! Small campsite on grass, little shade, a few picnic tables but mostly used by long-term campers. Free unlimited showers and toilets outdated but ok. We paid for a campervan and 2 adults. The owner is really friendly and open-minded. 5min further by car is a very nice beach.
This is a hidden gem. We loved our stay. Swimming in river next to camp or at the ocean beach down the road. Great place for biking in the Forrest or along river. Very relaxing place and lovely people who run it.
Great place away from Whanganui! WC, shower, washing machine, barbecue area .. Everything for a few NZD.
Lovely little spot, exactly as other comments say. We got talking to some friendly regulars. We had to phone to get the manager to come, it took some time as she was making dinner, but it was all very relaxed so no worries. We just chose a spot and started a beer.
