This place is an absolute gem, a hidden beauty. The park is so well maintained, facilities simple but immaculately clean, hot showers and the bonus of being able to have a camp fire was amazing. Mark the park manager was fantastic, we told him we were on our honeymoon he really looked after us and even dropped off a lovely bottle of Pinot. Highly recommended, I’m absolutely baffled by any negative reviews.

A bit of a weird spot. Powered sites are crowded so if you can, get a unpowered site for more privacy. Huge property with a nice walk to the river and swimming hole. Peaceful spot. Facilities are old but clean

Absolutely wonderful rustic place good old kiwi camping at its finest not commercialized, fantastic owners, very clean facility, nice hot showers included in your stay, washing machine available, the sound of birdlife is amazing and lovely walks to river with swimming holes. And they allow fires in designated fire pits. Family friendly and respectful environment. Definitely worth staying.

Cute campground but all the empty permanent caravans are uninviting. Powered sites are limited and are out in the open. Tent sites in the trees are lovely. Bonus of fire pit. Toilets and showers ok.

We stayed a night in february : very nice hosts, super calm surroundings and not at all crowded contrary to what i read in a previous comment. The hot shower (included in the night fee) was such a relief after a long day...

By far the nicest campsite we’ve been to! Not only was the host friendly and welcoming but the facilities were so clean. Someone mentioned space being an issue, maybe we just got lucky but this campground is massive and plenty of options to be away from others. There is a lot of camper vans around but the host explained they’re being stored here which wasn’t a problem for us. Fantastic hot showers included in camp fees - best pressure we’ve had this trip so far and a washing machine for $2 (honesty box system for this, note there is no dryer!) Lovely stream at the bottom of the campgrounds that would be great for a summer evening swim. We enjoyed our stay so much we ended up doing another night, highly recommended for the cost!!
