Camp du DOC very pleasant, many picnic tables, the toilets are clean and laundry. The places are in the grass so be careful in case of rain as it is easy to stay stuck. Unless you are alone you can park on the only place in gravel.
Nice campsite with clean facilites (toilets and sink) BUT BE CAREFULL ! We got stuck in the mud on the grassy area where we are supposed to camp with the van. Even though it rained 2 days ago, the grass was fulled with water but we could only see it when we walked on it or drive with the car... Which was too late for us! Hopefully we found other campers to help. After that, we noticed that there were wheels traces in the mud everywhere. Free with the doc pass. Keep on the driveway to park!
Nice little clearing with few really flat spots Be careful there is no water at all: all the taps are broken Internet network OK for Spark / No network for One NZ
The fee is 10$ per person. Otherwise great calm and clean place
Great and quiet spot to stay and enjoy the “no reception”. Sheltered picnic area with tap and sink which is a bonus when it’s raining 👍
Booking / payment only possible online and of course no network suburb
Such a lovely spot to camp. I have been bringing my kids here since they were little and we still keep coming back.
Another top spot by DOC. So quiet and sheltered. Nice walk to the river where there are some swimmable holes if you’re game.
Top spot. Quiet, sheltered and secluded.
Nice camping area, clean toilets and small sink for washing up.
