Dead birds outside women’s toilet, kitchen quite dirty, in needs of renewing to make it nice, but great location if doing stuff in that area

It was with some trepidation that we pulled up here after reading the reviews but thankfully our experience was a good one. Peaceful spot, with beautiful views. Kitchen and shower blocks are dated but they were clean for us. On site bar and restaurant was decent and the staff super friendly. We paid $50 for a powered site.

One of the worst campsites we've ever stayed at. Plus, it's more expensive than the others. The toilets and showers are dilapidated and dirty. There's only one washing machine for the entire campsite, and one dryer that doesn't work properly. We don't recommend it!

Very good camping option

This site is in a beautiful location which would seem to be it’s one redeeming feature. The powered sites are approximately 75m from the helicopter take off point. Flights start at 7am. The owners appear happy to take large party bookings with copious drinking & loud talking allowed well past midnight. We paid $112 for 4 people for 1 night, there were no reductions for the lack of ladies bathrooms, absolutely no handicapped facilities and all was filthy dirty and in a state of disrepair.

Wanted to leave a comment to more accurately represent this campsite because we had unrealistic expectations after reading the other comments. It was a more expensive campsites we’ve stayed at $50 for the two of us in a van. The camping section is nice but small so you are quite close to others. The kitchen area is spacious but the WiFi didn’t work at all. The bathrooms were unclean with bugs, the floor was peeling. The shower was scolding and wouldn’t turn down so you couldn’t stand under water

Very nice campsite, one of the best we had on our entire trip. Very large kitchen, nice spaces to put your camper. Amazing views over the mountains, very friendly staff. Hot showers, very quiet.

Very cute campsite, great views all around and convenient location. People were super nice, I didn’t book before coming and could park anywhere I wanted. hot showers + big common areas were another plus! They also have a cafe and gas station. Use of washing machine and dryer for 4$

Not busy, could place our campervan anywhere we wanted. Very friendly and they did charge anything for the kids! Large indoor kitchen area with log fire.

Great option compared to price. They don’t charge for kids, which makes it the cheapest option for us as a family with 2 kids. Great location, fine kitchen and showers. Friendly personel and option for going to their Cafe. Really great option for a place to stay over on you travel between. Queenstown and Franz Josef.
