Staff were drunk when we arrived and made a comment about our accent when we asked could we stay for the night. Then we went back out to our camper as we told them we think we are ok and gonna move on, the guy there looked at us for a few seconds and said “you are going to the free spot aren’t you”. Not a very welcoming place at all with the guy there as we felt pretty uncomfortable with the entire encounter.

Such a beautiful place to stay. Everything’s was super clean. And the host was very friendly. I can highly recommend this place to stay! :) Note: Only Cash Payment.

The owner was very nice and welcoming, but the campground was not good at all. Kitchen was very dirty with no oven, toilets were dirty and missing hand soap, there was a flood in the bathroom, and the shower was super slippery. The most annoying part was the laundry - the washing machine didn’t rinse, and the dryer didn’t dry properly - we did 3 rounds and stayed with soaking wet clothes. Price was 20pp and 5 more for power. NO WIFI Washing machine 4$, dryer 2$ per 30min (not working!)

Loved this place everything you need shop across the road and pub very close Good cold water washing up area Dump station, rubbish bins etc honesty box for donations no complaints we returned after day in Invercargill en route to Te Anau

Very nice and clean Camping Ground! We came in late so used the honesty box :) if one does not mind being reminded that the owner will call the police if you use facilities after check out you’ll be good!

We loved this campsite. Stayed two nights before and after Milford sound trip. The owner is a very friendly kind hearted person. The washing machine and dryer works fine. The campsite is quiet and specious. Thank you for having such a great space with reasonable charge. We will recommend this site if you want to stay close before Milford sound trip. 🥰🥰🥰

Lovely spot to camp. Honesty checkin system as no one was there when we arrived, able to choose our own site. Clean facilities, lovely warm shower included in price. Owner texted back promptly with shower access code, thanks!!

Nice low cost camping spot, we stayed one night & were only travellers there. Quite clean with friendly owner.
