The park is now closed for our winter break. We will be open again on the 1st of October.....
Very nice place. So clean all over and the owner very kindly. So nice in the Kitchen with fire in the stove. 🥰 Thank you so much for the stay from the danish family. 🇩🇰
Stayed one night on 24Apr26. Campground is very nice and has great camper sites to park up in, on gravel with hedges for privacy. Lovely staff and great facilities; showers, kictern and wood burner inside kitchen area. Brisk cold night and fog in the morning, but was a great environment to stay.
Beautiful setting next to a river. Had our choice of powered sites as it was shoulder season. The grass sites seemed larger but were also closer to SH6 so you can hear more road noise; therefore we opted for gravel site near the main building which was smaller but had high hedges. Very clean hot showers/toilets but note that you need to wait a couple of (seemingly long :) minutes when shower timer goes off before you can press the button again. Bring insect repellent!
A lovely place to stay. Could have stayed longer. The staff are really friendly. Clean facilities. Only draw back is only 2 showers. The kitchen area feels cosey.
Stay here if you want a quiet, super clean park, free seven minute showers included in price. The walks to the four swimming holes are amazing. The warm kitchen in the chilly mornings, heated by the log fire was a treat. Best park in the area!
Best indoor kitchen and bathroom. Was heating in the kitchen and fly screens. Really nice one of the best. Big parking spots
Great campsite! Very calm and clean facilities. There are some sandflies so bring repellent, but nothing crazy. Very friendly host! Would recommend!
We paid for a campsite with electricity, but it wasn't working. The water wasn't very hot. The kitchen closes at 9:30 pm, so don't waste time if you want to use it. There are other campsites nearby; I highly recommend them.
Best camping I've been to on a budget in the South Island. I didn't have a booking but there were still a lot of space for unpowered sites and the host was super lovely and showed me around. Facilities are spacious, modern and clean. The direct access to the river is AMAZING I had to book another night just to enjoy this gem and chill. Both phone signal and wifi work well. I would definitely recommend coming here.
