Visited early May, for the cheapest location without electricity, 35$ for 2.The facilities are really top, the beach is glued to the campsite.There are laundry, the shower rooms are numerous and large (timing with 5min of hot water) there is dry hair.

Lots of space, we booked in the reserve powered site. Some of the plots were very waterlogged so we asked to move and they were very accommodating. Toilet block, showers and laundry were all close by. A lot of the laundry facilities were broken but we found a couple that worked and they have a huge area to hang it out if you don’t want to tumble dry. $8 to use both, $2 coins required. All food and drink facilities on site were closed from mid April. Had water and dump sites

Great location right on Hahei beach, but very busy, and in 3 days I saw no evidence of facilities being cleaned. ‘ Paradise’ toilet block stank. Disappointing.

This place is not cheap but you get so much more than your average camping ground - free wifi, really good free hot showers - generally a very well run camp. And don’t forget it has a bar, a pizzeria, burger place and ice cream cart all on site - and it’s next to one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere!

Only option near Cathedral Cove — and they charge accordingly. Expensive, underwhelming, very commercial. Facilities are a mess: some toilets disgusting, showers often unacceptable (at least one mixed shower hosted a full family in a grimy stall), and one set awkwardly next to a fish-cleaning station. Bonus: you could borrow a shovel for Hot Water Beach — probably for a fee. Beach itself is lovely; everything else feels like a theme park for campers. Not for anyone looking for peace.

The place is very beautiful, but unfortunately far too crowded and unpleasant during peak season: the restrooms were rarely cleaned, and there was feces on the toilet seat. Many people get drunk at the bar in the evenings, are loud, and behave inappropriately (completely unacceptable with children). Furthermore, I was catcalled by a staff member: 1.70 meters tall, dark hair, slim. The restrooms are not safe for women: there are large gaps at the top and bottom. An awareness team would be appropriate.

While you can’t beat the location of this campground you’re paying for that, and at least the evening I stayed there was a large and very loud wedding not far from camp. Also the spot I had was impossible to get my campervan remotely flat. Otherwise, it’s clean, friendly staff, and has all the amenities you could ever want.

Stayed in the beachfront site for two nights. Some beachfront sites are definitely better than others as some sites have obscured views. However the nice thing is that they all have hanging racks which helped us with dry wet suits. I noticed the non beachfront campervan sites did not have a hanging rack. Water and power right for campervan beachfront sites. Restaurant only open wed-sun. Nice and clean facilities. $2 coins for laundry. A long but possible walk/hike to cathedral cove from camp.

Gorgeous spot! The facilities are clean & modern and we were 30 sec from the beach (stayed on the sunrise section, one row back from the beach, for $30 less than the beachfront pitches!). Visit Weds-Sun for the on-site bar & delicious burger/pizza.

Clean resort, right on the beach, delicious dinner (burgers, fries, beer). Definitely recommended.
