It's good located. A lot of space. The shower is free and clean as well as the toilet. The kitchen is a bit older.
Overcrowded campsite with just 3 toilets and 2 showers for men/women. There is a lack of privacy and security as the doors to the men and women's facilities face each other and the doors are kept open. Showers were so bad we decided not to use them. The small kitchen was too crowded for us to use. There were hundreds of campers when we were there. A bright spotlight near our van was on all night and made sleeping difficult. Overall, by far the worst camping experience we had in 12 days in NZ.
Excellent campsite with very clean toilets and showers. The kitchen was very clean. The individual hot tubs are very effective after a 20-kilometer hike. The indoor room is unusable during the day because it's too hot 🥵.
Great campsite. Facilities were really clean. Got showers were included in the price. Kitchen was also very clean. Campsite was very quiet. I recommend this campsite
Really super site, the best we have stayed-in so far: spacious pitches, great facilities, including a laundry and the bar/restaurant is very good. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Convenient location. Clean and well maintained site. BBQ facilities were good and free to use. Only problem was trying to find staff to get coins for the laundry and there wasn’t anyone around. Clean kitchen with several tables to sit and eat. We didn’t use the pool
Quite expensive (60$ for 2 adults on unpowered site) for what you get. Too few facilities, not very clean and no toilet paper early evening until at least check out time. Not really secluded from street but felt safe.
I highly recommend this campsite! After hiking Tongariro, it's the perfect spot. $50 for two people in a campervan, with access to the pool, showers, toilets, and a kitchen in excellent condition. For an additional $8, you can access the spa.
Good spot with spacious sites. We arrived out of hours, and the check in instructions were clear. Woman’s toilets were fantastic, good hair dryers and straighteners available. Kitchen was good and some basics provided. On the negative side the swimming pool was tiny.
For powered campers, not the best site especially for women. Womens restroom is under construction so you share toilets/showers in theirs. Pool is closed, game room very dated, laundry room could barely open the dryer. Powered site is on grass so if it rains would be a mud pit. The kitchen area and on site restaurant would be the better of the location.
“Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We really appreciate you visiting us and understand your comments regarding the facilities during your stay. Our men’s and women’s bathrooms have now both been fully refurbished and are up and running — the renovations were completed during our off-peak period to minimise disruption as much as possible. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the kitchen and our on-site restaurant, and we appreciate your feedback on the laundry and games room — these are areas we’ll continue to improve over time. Thanks again for sharing your experience, and we hope to welcome you back to see the upgrades.”
