Could not ask for more from a paid campsite. Full use of clean kitchen and bathroom facilities for $15pp. I’ve been to numerous camps in New Zealand and most showers are time limited or cost additional tokens to use, not here. Showers are not limited, very warm and good pressure. Owners are very accommodating and also run a lovely little cafe alongside the campsite. Would recommend.

Has all the basics at a good price !

We paid 30$ for two people. The place looks alright, you have a lot of space to park on. The amenities are poor tho - you have kitchen and one bathroom for two genders. There are no locks in the toilets I don't really understand why. The showers were really hot and the pressure was super strong. The food at the cafe was good and the owners were friendly. The worst thing was the sandflies - they were eating us alive. It was a battle. There where harms of them, the worst we have ever experienced.

This place was super! We drove our RV on the upper lot, next to the tables and had a really nice view of the hills and the river. The facilities were clean, the restaurant was excellent and the owner was super nice too. We walked on the river bed, enjoyed the views and saw glow worms at night. Some sandflies, but we had repellent and weren't bitten that much. A great spot overall!

Looked a bit sketchy so I ended up not staying here after taking a tour of the place.

What a gem! $15 pp for the night, good kitchen facilities, warm showers and an epic view. Can grab some beers from the cafe and the food looked really good though didn't eat there. Great spot.

Good spot to stay. Lots of room to set up. Stayed one night and had no issues.

Let's start with the good points. The Wi-Fi connection is excellent, and the facilities are good, including a kitchen and toilet. It's a simple parking area with plenty of spaces. However, there are a lot of sandflies! It's almost impossible to get out of the car without getting bitten. Okay for the price.

Very very nice campsite. Friendly owner. The bar was relaxing, the drinks and food were cheap and delicious. The view from the bar was very nice. Campsite is just a large grass and gravel field, which does the job. Facilities are very basic, but for this price you usually don't get any facilities at all. Highly recommend for a one night stay.

Awesome spot with great views! Super friendly staff and situated perfectly next to the river. For $15 I'm extremely impressed! Looking forward to hitting the bar later! Super cheap drinks! Look out! Haha
