Amazing place with different short walks. A sign at the beginning indicates that the road is not suitable for motorhome and campervan. I was okay with my small van but you really should avoid coming here with a big vehicle

It is a beautiful loop! & make sure to visit box canyon cave while here. Quite a long drive in on gravel roads so be prepared for that with plenty of time

Really amazing! Do the mirror tarn loop if you have time. Don’t be alarmed by the small entrance - it opens up into a huge open cave.

The Oparara arches are a must if you’re in the area!! Just amazing, easy walks (do the mirror tarn loop track!) with amazing bird life. Thank you to the guys who built the awesome track! And the drive is no problem for a van and someone who’s already driven on a gravel road.

Amazing spot! Like the walk around really much. Easy walk. Drive is forbidden for campervans, but a lot people will do it like us. It’s a bumpy gravel road but fine to do by a campervan (below 2.80m). Don’t know the reason why the signs says ‘no campervans’. Motorhome isn’t possible because of the narrow road. We couldn’t find if overnight stay by selfcontained vans is possible. A sign says ‘no camping’ with a sign of a tent. Probably it means no camping overall because campervans are forbidden. We didn’t give it a try.

Beautiful ! The entry is through a short cave. Nothing too complicated. Totally worth it. Don’t forget to go see the other one : Oparara, even more impressive. As for the gravel road: not the easiest but not the worst I’ve driven in my 5 months here. Don’t try it as your first gravel road though. I believe you need to know your vehicle (heating, steering...). I went with a Mitsubishi L300 (long wheel base, quite heavy with 3 batteries...) and there was no overheating or anything. Just know you car before heading on a road like this! Don’t even go if you’re higher than 2,8m : there is a crossbar.

Super ballad we made the loop, I advice good shoes in hiking! The arch is very beautiful with a little sun!

The street is not suitable for campers and vans. There is even a sign, so unfortunately we had to turn around ...
