Quite busy so arrive early, designated camping spots. Drinking water available, clean toilets but no shower. Off the highway but very quiet at night

Very good, children's play area, toilets, place to empty the toilets from the camper van and a table.

It's actually a very good free parking spot, but unfortunately our camping chairs were stolen overnight. So it's best to pack everything up!

It's really great that the town is so friendly and welcoming to campers. The site is very well-maintained and quiet, and I highly recommend it. There's a Telstra signal, toilets and trash cans, and plenty of picnic tables. Be sure to reserve in advance.

Free site that requires booking through Townsville council but based on how many people were there I don't think many are bothering. Clean flushing toilets, potable water, well stocked book swap at community club across the oval, dump point, playround.

Good campsite, it's quiet and there's space for a lot of vehicles, on Friday evenings there's a restaurant bar where you can get food and drinks. Negative point on the cleanliness of the toilets and the weak network signal.

Better than some paid campsites. There is no road noise. Lots of space. Water pump and bathrooms.

We arrived late into Townsville with no booking. We rang a few holiday parks but got no answer, we couldn't get an online booking for this place (the free QR code), but our options were limited so we stayed anyway as there was space and there was no trouble. Non powered site, no showers, toilets were reasonably clean too. It was our first time staying in a public park but felt safe enough. There was no WiFi but good phone signal.

Very confusing on where to/ not park at night. Mentions restricted bays but no road markings or bollards separating cars! Seemed like a decent parking spot but had to leave due to inconsiderate parking from fellow users.
