Very simple. Just a concrete pad with a very clean toilet, sinks, bench’s. It is inside the craw campsite then down to the right along a dirt drive. I needed to call the council to get a passcode for the main gate however the lady said she would get it sorted for the next campers to have the code in the email. Hopefully they sort it.
Would not recommend as a last minute option, very easy to book online however no code is given for the padlock. Spoke to aukland council on the phone and was told I'd get contacted and told the code. Was late in the evening and still had no code so figured I give up and move on.
Very hard to find. Initially thought it was the Anawhata Beach carpark however realised its inside the Craw Campground area a bit further up the road before you reach the carpark. Very nice and quite however a code is needed for the padlock on the gate. Auckland Council have no idea you need a code so they were useless in helping us get in. Luckily a couple staying at the homestead were able to let us in. Don’t know how you’d get in otherwise.
Just a parking with a toilet. Very calm.
Bit if a pain to find. Harder to book, but as are all things Auckland Council runs. Once you get inside though it is very lovely and spacious. We were the only ones there for the night.
Nice camping spot! There are actually two different camping areas here: Craw SCC Parking Area and Craw Campground (different bookings). The campground area has a toilet, water (unfiltered), picnic tables, a cooking shelter, and lots of grass. Quiet place to stay in a beautiful area :)
Very remote. 10km gravel road to get there. Gorgeous views and a 30min walk to an amazing beach. One smelly toilet cubicle.
+ Nice little spot. + Amazing view with beautiful sunset. We were the only ones there. Some locals came by and enjoyed the view but left before dark. - There is toilet but it is very dirty. - You have to make a booking via phone which takes about 10 minutes. - you only get there if you drive 10km in gravel road
