Had a wonderful overnight stay. Weather perfect so the view was amazing. Only one in the park so very peaceful. Toilets and a water tap. Great walks and swimming. At the fork in the road down the entrance road go left for the overnight stay.
Really nice spot, not busy at all. Minute walk to the beach , good walks around (recommend coastal one - fantastic views ) . Toilets good
Lovely tranquil place to stay. CSC parking is in the gravel carpak which overlooks the bay. There are basic long drop toilets not far from the carpark. Book via Auckland Council website, well worth $17 for the night
Great xamping ground, open area shower right next to the gravel road, just have to chose your camp area wisely as many of them are sloping.
As below parking is in actual carpark so don’t try get through locked gate as that is for tenting campers only. Beautiful spot, toilets are a long drop and not the nicest. Water tap by the gate in middle of carpark but don’t know if it’s drinkable. Caught a snapper down the left side of beach just before dusk which was a bonus!
Parking is in carpark, not allowed through locked gate (access to tent only campground). Thoroughly enjoyed our night there. Went on a couple of the walks, especially enjoyed the coastal walk (maps available). Swimming is good too. Water tap is by the second pedestrian gate, mid carpark.
A great spot for overnight with caravan or motorhome. ARC online booking ok (after you've done your 1st one). Facilities here as described by others - but also a cold shower available if you're keen. Top views & walks available.
Quick booking, took less than 5 minutes. We were the only campervan sleeping in the car park outside the beachfront camping area. Nice ocean views, basic toil t facilities close by. The stars at night were brilliant! A few nice hikes around the area. Would stay here again :)
Booking took less than 5 minutes. Lovely, very quiet site in regional park, plenty of spaces. Toilet 100 meters away, basic, but clean. Cold shower which was fresh and invigorating. Gorgeous views to sea or park.
A lot of comments about booking this online had me worried, not so couldn’t have been more simple took me no more than 5 mins to make my booking, anyway beautiful quite spot, no freedom campers for once, lovely walks and mtb tracks also if you want to have peace and quiet this is the place and no bloody dogs allowed either which i love also, I’ve had so many lovely camping spots ruined by barking dogs, basic toilets, and cold shower, recycling bins only, nice calm beach to swim in, great views over to the coromandel also heaven.
