Go right at the โGiant frameโ point on google maps, itโs a shorter route. Nice paid campground (18$ pp), big grassy space for a lot of campers. Toilets were good.
This place was so good and safe. We arrived late around 7 PM so we had some problems finding the right gate in the darkness. We booked for campground (3rd and last gate) which we recommend even if you are SC because of clean bathrooms, cold showers and plenty of space. There was a beautiful beach behind toilets and a lot of animals going around in the morning. We slept here our first ever night and we will remember forever. Thank you to everybody who takes care of this place <3 Love NZ
Very nice campsite, right by the beach. Need a gate code to enter (which broke but was quickly fixed by rangers) toilets and exposed cold showers all clean and nice, washing area too.
Great bathroom with lights, tent sites are great and roomy, and amazing wildlife all around.
This campsite is only for CSC self contained vehicles - Auckland council have updated this on their website ๐
Very nice campsite located in a reserve! Lots of pretty birds, the beach is right next to the campsite and you can see magnificent sunsets there. Good location for hiking! (Toilets ok but no lights at night) water point + bbq
Nice campsite managed by Auckland Council. Very quiet in winter, felt safe. You need to book online ahead of time and get the gate code. Nice toilets, cold outdoor showers, clean drinking water. Good place to stay before or after exploring Shakespear Regional Park.
Very friendly camphosts. Big open camping area and private camping. Clean bathrooms and out door cold showers. $17 a night, but you have to register throught and Auckland government site, which is difficult to use, would suggest booking while having 5G.
It was a nice and simple Campground. the bathrooms were clean, and there was plenty to do around. Right now to grounds are very soft and wet due to the recent rains
Here at easter weekend and it was open
