We loved it here. Perfect for our camper but wouldn't want to park anything bigger. Staff friendly, pool and spa great, kids loved it, we even had a movie night in the TV room, so close to beautiful beach with lots of shells, fish and chip shop, great cafe serving drinks and food in the evening down the road. $185 for three nights was a very good deal. Would recommend
Expect to be confronted with a price increase of more than three times the original amount less than half a day after checking prices online. This happened to me today, January 6th, 2026. Some may call it free market economics, but I consider charging NZD 227.00 per night for a tiny, unpowered pitch an outrage! Clearly, someone is insatiable. Do not support this!
this was our first experience of nz campsites and we were blown away by the facilities- only wish we could have stayed longer - everything you need is here .friendly staff . brilliant kitchen laundry and pool - just wow. and just across the road from the beach too .
Great for younger families i would say as there were a lot of them! Sites felt quite cramped and paid a bit more than nicer camping grounds I've been to but maybe thats because there's a pool.
Really enjoyed our stay. Rented a cabin for space even though we have the campervan. Clean and comfortable and modern. Facilities are nice. Heard kids enjoying the pool which was nice. I’d highly recommend.
Sites are quite small and tricky for caravan + trailer and campervans, is more expensive than other parks and don’t feel like you get your moneys worth - facilities were ok, cool pool area & eels for the kids, receptionist was lovely though and really good to deal with - great location across from the beach
Crammed in like sardines in a can plus they want all your money up front. Facilities okay nice staff.
We were there for a week and have a large caravan. Agree with other comments around size of sites and not really suitable for large caravans. Ours is 7.5m so ended up taken 2 sites to fit in comfortably. Many of the sites sit under the cover of the Pohutakawa’s so be aware of this as you could spend most of your stay in the shade. The heated pool is fantastic as is the beach. Lots to do in this region.
Just stayed a week in our caravan. Not a caravan “friendly” park due to cramped conditions and narrow access ways. First night was spent half on our site and half on the neighbours until everyone left and we could get onto the site properly. WiFi also an issue as stopped working and was asked to contact their support people ourselves. Eventually the Manager sorted it for us as was a issue at their end. Great facilities, very clean and excellent location if you are a family in a tent or small/mid sized Motorhome.
Small but friendly and well located campground with many facilities (pool, spa, gym, kids areas). A little cramped and probably a bit too cosy at peak times but a good base for off-peak travel. Free Wi-Fi.
