I highly rate my stay here. I'm a solo female traveller, and met lovely people. I lay out watching the incredible stars, and in the morning, the sunset was almost as impressive. Loved the birdlife, and on a close walk I found wild blackberries and several apple trees. Winner winner.
kiwi Cash only!!!
The camp is flooded.
The place was flooded because of the storm. The water went all the way up to the trash cans obstructing them. We were unable to use the bathroom but the portable ones were kept clean and tidy. It was a quite place to stay
July ‘21, a few vans parked up over the weekend. Pretty tidy. Someone had an open fire going, which was left on Sunday not-extinguished. Fees are paid by the Kiwicash Digital Honesty box at the toilets. Drinking water and rubbing bins on site. One concrete picnic table, and one smashed up BBQ. Good enough, I guess,
Closed when we went there on June 18th.
God quiet spot nice sunrise over the lake Council ladies visit late afternoon early evening to say hello
Looked nice enough but we moved on - it is $8 per person as compared to $6 at the Brett Rd site just down the road. Not too many flat spots. Completely empty on a Friday afternoon but we heard from locals that there can be some rowdy boys that show up later at night.
