Beautiful location but facilities were full of mouse droppings and generally in need of a bit of TLC. For $15 pp there are much better sites to stay in on the peninsula.

Quite place close to French farm

The place is ok. Facing the sea, which is a plus point. However, there are few parking spaces that are just as 50% of the space situated on the hillside. In addition, screaming, pot-smoking and drunken kids have messed us the mood. The place seems to be the Saturday night location for them. But can the place for nothing. Who is not here on the weekends, can have a good time here

We were there in early March and we loved it! A quiet place right on the beach with super nice views to the bay. From time to time also looked at these times by a cruise ship. The toilets are ok, the water should not drink it. For washing and washing hands is sufficient but all times. Early to be there, it is full!

Dirty campers have managed to mess up the place, the city has little desire it !! A real shame! What a setback for Freedom campers and one more argument for the sch ... Sticker Mafia :(

Super place, near the beach and forest

Nice spot! We intended to stay at French Farm but decided we would keep going and see what Wainui was like as French Farm was packed! So glad we did, lots of space, tidy toilets and some privacy from the road AND a beautiful beach for a morning dip!

The camp is open for non self contained vehicles. Signs should be read carefully. Like in French Farm, there are two sections, one for self contained only, the other for all campers.
