Great spot. Good flush toilets and nice and quiet. Don't be put off by the lack of signage, you can definitely camp here.
Good camping area with nice toilets. Probably the biggest one in town, don’t bother with the others because they only allow a few parking spots. This one is the biggest in town but still on the smaller side. Try to get there early-ish, you have to manoeuvre in between trees and no pavement so can get muddy in rain, may be harder for larger vehicles but overall best free choice in the area.
Lovely spot just outside hamner. Close enough to town and right beside the walking tracks. Really clean toilets. No official signs but jist behind the DOC head quarters and they gave us no warnings etc.
Stayed one night. Arrived at 7pm was full by 8 lots of big rigs. Pretty quite and clean bathrooms
Good campground. Quiet. Room for a handful of vans. Clean toilets
Nice place in the middle of the forest so quiet with large clean toilets. it is a pity that there is a debarras next to ...
Great spot, quiet area. Didn’t walk into town but recon more like 30 mins.
good campground to stay at, toilets are clean. Does fill up rather quickly. Do not need to be self-contained
A large space in a quiet area with lots of walks. Flushing toilets were clean. There was plenty of space at 4pm but was full about 7pm with vans having to turn away. Couldn’t see any signage about camping.
Actually a nice place in the forest with clean toilets, however, the large number of sandflies in the morning bothered us a lot, so we moved on.
