Good for staying 1 or 2 nights since it is close to the city. Toilets are closed during the night. Here is a pool behind the parking spots with people swimming from early morning to late afternoon, so always felt safe.
Great spot! It’s close to the beach and lots of shops. Showed up at 3:30pm and got the last spot. Bathrooms close by and are well taken care of.
Great spot, right by the sea, we woke up to a market outside on Sunday morning which was nice! A little noise at 2am, but no bother. It’s a free spot in a town centre, so if you want silence go find somewhere remote :)
Nice place near the city center, but still by the harbor promenade and the sea. There are 4 large spaces for overnight SC Campers. 2 nice toilets that are cleaned every day. They are open 24/7 and there is toilet paper, soap and flash.
We arrived relatively early and still had two pitches to choose from. Within a short time, all the pitches were taken. We felt very comfortable and especially enjoyed the proximity to the sea and the city center. We can definitely recommend the campsite, even though it was briefly noisy at night. Some people seemed to think they had to drive their high-powered cars around corners in the parking lot next door.
Nice spot for the day however I have never felt so unsafe whilst freedom camping as I have here. Me and my husband were parked up sleeping in the back of our motorhome, everything locked up…so we thought…when my husband heard a voice at about 2:50am of someone saying, “hello?” INSIDE OUR VAN! We don’t know how but someone must’ve managed to open our door and tried to tell us that we had left our door open (which we’re 99% sure it was shut and locked). We felt so shook up we had to leave.
Great spot to park up close to the city centre, Ocean Spa, cycle trails, big spaces for big campervans (only 4 spots). Can be a bit noisy in the evening as its close parking to the centre (Wednesday night was band practice until 21:30 at the surf life saving club next to the parking). Spaces not that flat. Toilets locked at 7pmish. Good phone signal. Spaces full by about 5pm.
We unfortunately didn’t manage to get a spot for the night at 4 pm. Still, the site looked well-kept, and the public toilets nearby were clean.
