Great and quiet car park for freedom camping near the city centre. Only 7 places, we took the last one at 10 pm a sunday night. ~10-min walk for toilets but for note, all public toilets in this city close at 7 pm or before!!
Very good place in the city center for a stay, unfortunately there are no more blue lines on the ground but you can still park. No toilets but 10 minutes walk from the center.
Parking located in the city center. Fairly close to public restrooms. Two minutes by car, 10 minutes on foot. And, of course, there's a charge from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Be careful not to sleep in. Otherwise, nothing to complain about.
Happy with the location, even though it was a car park we felt safe also other campers there. Will recommend it to others. 👍Palmerston North
Was just fine! Stayed here for a night, as did about five others. Really easy walk into town, just a carpark, but we felt very safe. Quite noisy in the morning, people going to work etc, but it’s free so can’t moan! Thanks Palmerston North! @tasmantravels
It does the job. Nothing special but a city parking, lot of places but not facilities. Start to be busy and a bit noisy after 8am but no one bothered us.
Ideal to park up for a night. No toilets but as you are self contained it's not an issue. Park at the Railway/Skate park if you want to be close to toilets. Close to town and everything you need in Palmerston North. Very lovely guys who work in their nearby buildings who don't seem to have issues with campers.
Would be a great spot if people with Caravans didn't park their cars in the spots for campers. Way to look out for your fellow travellers!
Why complain about no toilets! Use your own. You’re self contained! If you’re not then this park is not meant for you - read the sign: Self Contained Vehicles Only!
A great quiet spot in the city. Super easy to find and enjoyable. No issues. No bathrooms
