Brilliant place …. Quiet and club very friendly and accommodating. Loos available when club open which is fair enough in my view (especially as you have to be a freedom camp van to stay here) Food and bar available every night when we have been here…. Was only planning 1 night but stayed 2. Dump station and fresh water available. Great location to explore Whanganui. Not a single train went by. Sometimes I think people who leave comments have stayed somewhere else !! 😂
Camping is not free, you have to pay $10 per vehicle at the club and the toilets are only accessible when the club is open
After starting the night in the city and being woken up at midnight by locals who were playing music very loudly in their cars, we came to this infrequent and very quiet parking lot. We slept really well. Thank you to the East Club for providing its parking! No toilets!
Bel endroit calme des fois quelques trains mais cela ne dérange pas. Le wifi du centre est gratuit mot de passe: trax1234 Seulement 3 véhicules c'était vide.
Was fine for 1 night ( we stayed on a Tuesday) Had trains going past a couple of times, but earplugs dulled the noise down. Restaurant was closed when we were there, and we felt like the area was safe. The grass is on a slight slope either way you park, so being in a campervan meant sort of rolling down hill in bed a few times in the night. Quite lovely of the club to offer the use of the grounds and facilities without any issue.
Convenient for one night. Near a road and a railway but little passage. No amenities (no toilet, faucet) simple parking, away from the city.
Ok for one night.
Great place to stay one night
Stayed here for one night. Very calm and relaxed.
Alone in the parking lot for the night, no problem, just the noise of the passing train.
