So lovely! We stopped for lunch and wished we could have stayed longer. Black sand beach and relatively warm water. There’s a freedom camping spot on top of the hill at the lookout, with flush toilets and cold showers near the beach (not sure if they get locked at night). Recommended!!

Spent three days at the caravan park and the beach and park was beautiful! Beautiful cliffs and views. Loads of room to park and heaps of shade

To bath top. To relax flop. This beach should be called "Flies Beach". You can forget about spreading his towel. Unless one likes mosquitoes.

Nice beach but not really worth the detour. Nice picnic spot if you happen to be in the area though.

Beach with cliffs and lots of drift wood, it's wonderful! The super well maintained and very large playground is suitable not only for kids. You can take the swing to cross the small river. Definitely recommended for a break! On your way to Wanganui, SH3, just have a look at the lake, too, it's on the left site.
