Great place to stay by beautiful park, just a few things to consider - it's beside a busy road and there were some nasty mosquitos.
Excellent parking for one night. The only downside is the noise, being right next to the main road. The restroom is a 5-minute walk away by the conservatory. It's very family-friendly with a playground, aviary, café, conservatory with beautiful plants, and a lake.
Sign saying site closed, maybe it dépends on the Time of the year but no further indication
Really lovely place! The freecampgrounds it is in the parking of a nice park. It is near to the main road but for us it wasn't to noisy. The toilet is a little bit far but it is okey and clean and closed in the night. We enjoy the walk near to the lake and wake up sorounded buy ducks
Stayed here two nights; next to a beautiful park where locals come for walks- I felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Toilets are spotless (probably the cleanest I’ve seen in fact!) but closed after dark. Only down is that it’s very close to a main road and quite noisy- sleeping with earplugs recommended.
It's a pretty nice spot. Toilets are decent, 2 minute walk away but they close at night. There's bins, a nice walk by the lake, a café next door and a cute free botanical garden I recommend visiting. The trucks passing at night can be a bit bothering if you're a light sleeper, but overall a grand spot.
Lovely place, you can walk around the lake near by where a lot of ducks are leaving ! The toilets next to the coffee shop close around 8pm but the toilets next to the lake are open at night.
1 night at Babbage Place, toilets after the funny duck cafe were closed during the night because of vandalism acts, but others were open in the park. We were not bothered by the noise of the road, and the morning in the park was nice. Better than Jubilee stadium, imo.
Lovely spot. Traffic noise wasn't noticeable. Beautiful park to walk around as a bonus.
Freedom camping is still permitted here!
