Very calming place with all the amenities you could wish and sauna. Bike riding, hikes and also sunny Nelson in reach. Cool place to stay.
Great campsite with a good atmosphere, the managers are super welcoming, their two little girls helped us get settled in while we waited for their parents to arrive. Very beautiful setting and quiet in the evening, perfect!
Not a good vibe here in our opinion. Everything just felt off. Bird song was great. Park seems to be trying to get things better. Facilities were okay. The camp manager was great and very welcoming. Just the atmosphere felt off.
"Fake it until you make it" seems to be the motto of the current management couple. We were rudely dismissed by Mirka(manager lady) after we attempted to make her aware of our very disappointing experience. She has admitted to us that they have no previous experience in running camp grounds and the painfully clear denial of responsibility for maintaining the grounds was more than obvious to us. Judgemental, snobby and rude lady with zero customer skills and even lower standards for cleanliness.
Great location, $2 showers, clean, well spaced. Run by a lovely couple who are super helpful and welcoming. Great spot to MTB the Coppermine Trail and others.
$20 pp. Free unlimited WiFi. Very nice setting in amongst the trees and near the river. 2 dollar showers. Very nice spot. Showers and toilets clean enough with flip flops. Easy enough to book via the penny app
Great spot! Was a bit confusing figuring out the electronic entrance process as I arrived later. It is a Penney key camp so if arriving after office hours you need to enter and register a Penney key. Super easy to do! They charge $2 NZD extra for a hot shower but you can only load $5 NZD on the card. I feel like they should just make the showers included and add it to the camping cost. Unlimited decent wifi also!
New superfriendly owners! A lot of space for campers (also big vehicles) and clean facilities. Free fast WiFi! Definitely recommended to stay there!
Location is stunning, yet still close to Nelson. New owners and managers really friendly and putting huge effort into upkeep and maintenence. Amenities clean even tho a bit old. Highly recommend
Good for the cheap price but be aware that there is no phone signal and the free wifi is only 500 MB. Also you have to pay extra for the hot showers
