Good spot near one of the local beaches and the waitangi grounds. Site is just basic plot, but has water and wifi included. Powered site is only $5 more, and nzmca members get a great deal for what iz offered. About a 15 minute walk to the main shopping area round the beaches, or woolworths is next door for groceries. Road is a bit noisy until about 8pm, but otherwise had a great sleep. Dog friendly on lead too, spent a few good days there, and would stay again!
“Thanks for your great review, very pleased you appreciate what we have to offer! Safe travels, Keith”
Great spot, you need to pay before entering as there’s a padlocked chain that they will give you the code to. Toilet at the petrol station had no lock so walked down to the public ones on the beach, they were clean and open 24/7. Room for 12 vans, some electric some not. Had a water station too
“Thanks for your great review! We also have free fast Wifi. Safe travels, Keith”
Good place to stop for a night or two. It is very simply power and water and that’s it so you wouldn’t want to stay for too long. Close to the ferry to Russell and Woolworths opposite. Easy to book and a very helpful owner!
“Hi there, Thank you for your kind review, we’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the booking process easy. You’ve summed us up well, we keep things simple with water available for all guests and powered sites available for those who need them. It works well for short stays, especially with everything close by including the Russell ferry and Woolworths. We also offer free fast WiFi for all guests to make things a bit more comfortable during your stay. Really appreciate the mention of helpful service as well, that means a lot. Safe travels and we’d be happy to welcome you back anytime.”
Great place to camp, easy check in.
“Thanks you, appreciate your comment. Travel well, cheers Keith”
Our stay was great! Added an extra night easily. Had camper troubles on a Sunday and Keith looked after us contacting his best buddy Graham to get us going again. Both of them went out of their way to help us! The gravel pad is clean and chained entrance. Toilet next door at garage is good, we’re camping not in a hotel! Thanks Pahia RV Park
“Hi there, Thank you for the great review, we’re really pleased you enjoyed your stay and that extending an extra night was nice and easy. It was no trouble at all to help out with the camper on a Sunday, and I’m glad Graham could get you back up and running quickly. We always try to go the extra mile when guests need a hand, especially when travel plans hit a bump. Appreciate your comments on the site and facilities as well, and your understanding of the simple setup. Safe travels and hopefully the rest of your trip is trouble free. You’re very welcome back anytime.”
Good value for the night considering other sites in the area. There are two drinking water taps on site but no toilets, however there is a toilet block at the end of the road on the beach. Some noise from the road but it’s situated directly off the road so that’s to be expected! Padlocked chains at entrance and exit so felt secure
“Thank you, I appreciate your positive comments. Cheers Keith”
Unfortunately, it's not nice at all! Located right next to the road and a gas station, it's very loud and uncomfortable. For the price, there isn't even a toilet…
“Thanks for your feedback. As mentioned in our listing, Paihia RV Park is intended for self-contained vehicles, which is why toilet facilities aren’t provided. Our central location, with a supermarket opposite and the beach within a minute’s walk, is something many guests find very convenient. Being in a 50 km/h zone, we don’t usually receive noise concerns, though we understand it may not suit everyone. Many guests also tell us they feel very secure staying with us, thanks to the security cameras, chain gate, and good ambient lighting. We appreciate you staying with us and wish you safe travels.”
Very good value. Easy to access. Toilets directly opposite end of road on beach side(no sign and hidden below road level!) and at gas station next door. Originally booked 1 night but stayed 2 as loved position so close to beach and supermarket. Some might be bothered by road noise but much quieter at night. Great drinkable water and didn't need a code after all.
“Thank you and travel well! Cheers Keith”
Great place close to the beach, a supermarket and gas station. Very easy to find and quiet area during the night.
“Brilliant, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Cheers Keith”
Great little spot for overnighting. Sunsets in front so great for sundowners. As you are allocated a site number, you can park out on the beach a 100mtrs away and have dinner and head back to your site after. Good tip that I missed, there are white dots lining the boundary of each lot and a yellow dot for centre line. Perfect for lining up if reversing in. Booking on the direct website is a better option too.
“Thank you for the great review, look forward to your next visit. Cheers Keith”
