Perfect location & very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend!
The price is now $39 per night. Too expensive for nothing!
Simply just a place to park. Not crowded, and great location. Gets a bit noisy being next to Tipsy Oyster. One of the better cheap options in Paihia if you’re self contained.
The campsite has a fantastic location, close to the town and opposite the beach. We had trouble paying by credit card, but luckily the owner happened to be there, and we were able to hand him the money in cash and have a chat in Swiss German. He also gave us a great address for camping supplies in Opua.
Great spot right in the heart of Paihia. Convenient, great views, Paihia beach just across the road, handy to everything. Public toilets nearby and cold showers just a short walk at the beach. Paid $33 for the van. We'll be back again. Highly recommend.
Okay for a night but next to a bar playing loud music and bright lights on next door all night. Nice toilet about 5 minute walk away. Walking distance to everything in town but not sure it’s worth the money. Plenty of spaces, and had about 8 unoccupied spaces overnight
was fine for a night, as not many freedom camps arround. bay of islands is a must see with a sailing boat or so, the wharf is just a 7min walk👍🏼 you are in the middle of paiha and can walk everywhere, we had the spot right up front where you see the ocean, which was nice. it‘s right at the road and there’s a bar next door which was quite loud. the public toilet is a 5 minute walk.
Looks very good, middle in the city centre Didn't stay overnight since we saw it was 38$ for 1 night. Out of our budget for a place without facilities.
Very centrally located parking space with a friendly Swiss operator who was there when we wanted to check in. The individual plots are very large for the location and you don't have to put too much pressure on yourself. Currently costs NZ$38 per night in high season. As described, there is no other equipment, so it is really only suitable for real motorhomes.
Ideally located, in the middle of Paihia and still quiet. Convenient for parking and a friendly owner who knows a thing or two about camping. We spent two nights here.
