Lovely compact site with warm welcome. Showers require $2. Friendly and knowledgeable welcome, relaxed atmosphere, very easy walk to seafront, Paihia centre and Treaty grounds. Short walk to a good supermarket if needed and fuel station nearby.
Great little site. Jan is an encyclopaedia of knowledge on the area. So lovely and helpful! Super easy walk to Paihia - at low tide you can walk around the beach. Cute little town with some great food spots, tours - some so pick up from the site directly, and just across the bridge from the treaty grounds. No proper kitchen just dish washing space, one washing machine and dryer. Showers and toilets super clean and huge! Just a lovely little spot
Great place, charming host, friendly guest, well care fore, excellent location across from very good large market and near fuel station with lpg. Nice walk to town and and short walk to beach. Spent two nights. LOVED IT.
Pretty nice campsite. 10/15 minute walk into town and is in an olive garden which is lovely and grass sites which seems pretty rare for NZ. Only downside is no kitchen, only charging area is outside, there’s only two showers (but are nice showers and warm!) and dump stations are a little awkard to get to as they’re actually on the sites. Receptionist was lovely and let me know that CamperMate charged me for two people not one and that I would’ve had a cheaper stay if I booked through the web
The site was well situated for Waitangi Treaty grounds & ferries at Opua. A pretty site with olive trees between pitches. A decent sized Woolworths and petrol station v close. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. 2 barbecues and area to eat & 2 outdoor dishwashing sinks and a washing machine & dryer. There were sufficient toilets, however they didn’t seem to be very clean & paper towel bins weren’t emptied very often. Showers $2, we shared as large cubicle and the area has water shortage
Very expensive for not hsving warm water (extra 2 NZD) and close to the SH (loud)
The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The restrooms were substandard. One of the three restrooms was closed, one was for disabled people, and there was no toilet paper. Definitely not clean. A shame. The location is excellent. We missed the kitchen and recreation room for playing games or just eating together.
Clean site with all the amaneties. Very welcoming and olive trees throw some shade over your tent.
The Place was directly at the street, the „drinking“ water was Taste like mould and for the Hot showers you have to pay extra
We stayed here 3 nights. Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Pahia are close by. It's a small park, a very friendly and helpful lady. The amenities are older, but is oké.
