I had a great stay at the campsite. The owner and the staff were nice and helpful. There were a lot of aminities. Everything was clean and well maintained. I recomend the spot!
Very friendly, family-run campground. We arrived late and were still warmly welcomed. They even left us a very clear information letter — which we confidently failed to notice. Free showers (always a win). Clean throughout, a little on the old side, but well maintained. Potable water right at the site felt unexpectedly luxurious. Calm, easy, and refreshingly unproblematic.
We stayed 1 night at the Riverside Holiday Park campsite. Clear explanations, clean site, everything is available and the friendly area (kitchen, living room, etc.) is very functional. A small leisure area is available, games for children, billiards, darts, etc. For the shower we got 3 tokens for 2 (1 token = 5 min). We slept facing the lake and were able to see a very beautiful sunset in addition to the picnic tables provided 😊
We stayed here overnight in a powered site. The hot shower was great, $1.5 for 6 minutes (but the first minute is mainly cold water, it took around minute to heat up), and the toilets are clean. Our site location was directly facing the river - we saw lovely sunset when we were there. We also used the kitchen, which was huge, but we had to use our own kitchen equipments. Overall a great stay!
It was a great family park. Very safe.
My first overnighter in my converted car and what a great place to camp. Very friendly staff and great amenities. I had the pick of the non powered plots as I was the only one there for that bit. Reasonable prices for a shower tokens and even a tip on how to heat the water quicker so you don't waste your time. Would definitely stay there again
Lots of amenities, hot showers, Wi-Fi, and lovely people! And for such a good price. Pro tip, get multiple shower tokens as they last only 5 minutes and the shower takes a bit to warm up. There’s plenty of outlets in the hall to charge up all your devices. About a 20 minute walk to the closest town. I loved my stay here!
Place with many long-term campers a little away from everything. If you're looking for peace and quiet, it's just the right thing for you. For people like us who were just passing through, it was completely ok.
Lovely location, we had a tent site right on the edge of the water. Very dog friendly - clean and tidy facilities. Very friendly locals! We will definitely come back!
Very nice location beside the inner estuary. Only 1.5ks to Mangawhai village. Tidy campsite with spotless toilets and kitchen. Great to be able to use Campsaver. DKW
