What a walk! Did the whole loop and its long but I dont regret it! You get a mix of beach, bush and board walk. Quite a few ups and downs but doable to anyone! Check the tides for the first part in Paihia and then just enjoy. Grab a coffee or a beer in Russell as a reward?

Really enjoyed this walk, started at dawn and saw the most amazing sunrise as we walked along the beach. About 17km, we’ll formed track, a little overgrown in parts.

Such a nice walk :) Quite long if you're doing a return but we just did it one way, took the ferry to Russell and hitchhiked back again to Paihia.
