Very, very expensive. But you get a lot for the price. Large individual cubicles for shower and toilet. It's nicely heated in winter. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the seating area is very large and comfortable.
Beautifully situated, clean and quiet, and only 5 minutes from Milford Sound. It's definitely more expensive than other campsites, though (for a campervan/2 adults and 2 children: $210!!).
Hands down the best holiday park in NZ. Spacious, modern, clean showers, well equipped kitchen with cookware and a large heated lounge adjoining the kitchen. A wonderful restaurant within the park.
Amazing powered sites, stay under the trees and listen to the sway. Just relaxing all up. Good hot showers with no timers. Big kitchen if you need it.
Most expensive yet best Campsite we’ve experienced in terms on facilities/beauty. Be sure to book early on their website. We reached early at 1410pm and reception kindly allowed us early check-in. Notes: There are no shuttle buses to town. There are no dump stations on site, closest one is in a paid parking area in town, but there seemed to be only one. There are fresh water taps in each parking site.
Overall great. Facilities are great. Views are amazing. Some wildlife around too. I arrived after hours and the reataurant was busy at the time so it was difficult to get checked in but otherwise it was great. A little pricey but they know what they have.
An amazing spot in Milford Sound. Restaurant with wine and bar snacks is great, amenities (ensuite type) are outstanding, some with heated towel rails!! Well worth the money.
A decent experience, especially for proximity to the Sound. Sites not as private as I thought they would be, but location is beautiful. Kitchen is awesome, well equipped w/pans, cooking utensils, plates, cup, dish soap & tea towels. Layout was great w/four cooking areas/sinks, so you had your own area. Lounge was a decent size w/plenty of areas to sit & eat. Bathrooms were heavily occupied, especially showers @peak hours. Needs more hooks. Laundry takes only coins, ask check-in for change
Absolutely worth the money to stay here. To be fair this is our first paid campsite in NZ, but if we find better shower, kitchen and lounge facilities on the rest of our travels across South Island I'll be extremely surprised. Lovely and peaceful overnight until the first place and helicopter flights start.
Camping here provided one of my most cherished memories of New Zealand. Not only the cruise to see the Sound, the campground/lodge provided a free nature walk with Henrique. The information he gave was so meaningful and impactful and helped integrate knowledge about NZ nature and conservation. Highly recommend this site for amenities and overall experience.
