$30 for one person in a non powered site. A wee bit steep as previous reviews listed it at $15, for what is basically a field but the shower was hot! Laundry on site, $4 for wash “$1” for dryer but it took four cycles to dry a small/medium sized load. The permanent residents were a bit intimidating but probably harmless many amenities near by. WiFi isn’t very strong but is included. Cafe and bottle shop on site and a 4 square right across the way.
Got a space on arrival and was only 15$. Free hot showers included, a laundry room and a big kitchen with all utensils. The kitchen includes an oven for colder days and a few couches + a tv. Seemed like there were quite a few permanent residents there, which made the place a nice NZ experience. Restaurant is also open until around 7, if you don't want to cook.
$25/1P Powered (+$10PP). Free unlimited wifi, fairly stable with average speed. Very fast 5G/4G cell. Fully equipped kitchen, great showers, hedges between sites. Restaurant/bar/cafe/bottle store on site and a Four Square across the road. Great setup. I'll be back!
Good value clean facilities but there was a big dog sitting in couch in kitchen area
Great place to stay. Staff happy and helpful. Facilities clean. Lovely hot shower. Good value at $20. Had a good feed in the pub too. There were no dogs roaming free and only one friendly live aboard. Would definitely stay again.
Friendly staff, good shower & toilets. A little weary around the permanent campers.
The kitchen is ok and the bathroom is fine too, a bit old, but there are some strange characters there. While cooking, we had to deal with a strange, drunken couple in their 40s who viewed the common room as their private living room and created a very uncomfortable and uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. During the showers, a long-term camper let his dog sit in front of his shower cubicle in the bathroom and then just sat around in his bathrobe.
Booked a non powered tent site but all non powered sites taken by long stay people. Pitched tent on powered site. Facilities clean and tidy. No wifi, was broken as was the spa!
This place is amazing for wat u pay it provides every thing and staff is welcoming and very helpful came for one nite stayed 2 weeks and have returned again ?
Facilities are nice but at 2.30am the people next to us started blasting music and woke the whole camp up. Then when I went to the bathroom I got chased by a dog and it bailed me up in a corner and wouldn’t stop barking, I was terrified. Probably just bad luck but I wouldn’t stay here again.
