Very good campsite. Has a lot of space and playgrounds.
Very good campsite, lot of space, lot of activities (river swimming, flying fox, hammocks, amusements). You need 1$ coins for the shower but you can ask them at reception. You need coins for washer (3$) and dryer (5$) as well. Facilities are clean. We recommend this place.
Decent place but really busy with screaming kids. Also for such a big place, I'm surprised they make you pay a dollar to use the showers. It's 2026 and you can only shower here if you have exactly a 1 dollar coin (for just 5 mins...) surely just put all the prices up by a dollar per person per night and allow everyone to shower
Lovely place, nice big campground with lots of space. Showers and toilets were nice and tidy, great open kitchen and friendly staff.
Disappointed to find the site was closed (1st of May) with no warning online/on answering machine. Found a great site down the road in Tapawera
This place is honestly fabtastic! You have to go here and more than 1 night! The facilities are great (however was slightly peeved you have to pay $1 for showers for 5 mins and also for the BBQ) the washing machine are also a little questionable as the older ones actually have the dial nailed in so you can’t change the setting.. But that’s the only issue I found. The staff are very friendly and helpful the place is beautiful great for families would 100% recommend
Frankly, given the comments and even the description of the place with my boyfriend, we didn't have a good opinion of the place. In the end, we spent 3 nights there, 1 night we were the only ones and the other two there was just one more van. So yes, it's just a parking lot but it's a good help knowing that the toilets are right next door and it's clean (maintained every morning)!
A great place to stay. When we went it was 90% families and lots of kids running around - have to pay extra for showers etc but a cute area - $22pp for a non powered site did seem a bit excessive
What an awesome place to stay, although we don’t have children the playgrounds, animal park and river are amazing. Being pet friendly is a huge bonus but they have thought of every detail, the off leash and doggie-do bags make it one of the best experiences. Highly recommended and great value for money, we can’t complain with $1 for perfectly clean and modern facilities. Great work to all the team, Grace & Kierin
Superb campsite Spacious, clean sanitary facilities, a good kitchen and barbecue, at the bottom there is even a water point and a river. I recommend!
