Unfortunately, the car park is no longer accessible with a motorhome or a vehicle longer than 7m. Therefore you have to walk 3km along the road to the start of the track. We went up Pinchgut and down Paddys Track, which we found very suitable. We walked down. In total 1.5 hours.
Great hike. Went from Carpark to Angelus hut and back in 7 hours. Awesome views but you have to be sure footed.
Gorgeous hike. Recommend going up paddy’s track and backdown pinchgut track. Took 3hrs, not too difficult. Great views, quite windy and snow still along the ridge so take an extra layer !
Beautiful track! I went 3 days, the first night I stayed in Speargrass Hut. The next I went to Angelus Hut. The third day I went down the Robert Ridge Track. I did the track without crampons and ice axe, so that was a little bit challenging. But the track is beautiful and the huts are very nice!
Really good hike - pretty sheer work at first then a gorgeous ridge walk. Walked the Mount Julius, had lunch on the top of it and walked back in about 5 hours - perfect day hike! Stunning views from the ridge in particular.
Nice hike with gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. Did the loop from the top car park and back in 3hours. The first 30mins are quite exposed so don’t forget your sunscreen ☺️
Done a hike today, went all the way to Angelus for a night and then down via Speargrass, which was even more challenging than Mt Robert ?
I was up to Bushline Hut. The path is always steep, but it's really fun. The flora and fauna on the way is impressive and varied. The mountainous tail of madness. Since I did not want to drive the whole gravel road to the Mt Robert Carpark, I stopped a parking lot before (opposite there are benches) and started from the Lakeside Track. Beautiful pleasant steep path through the bush.
Road to go to the parking of the departure of the hikes is good. Super hike with varied landscapes. Snow at the top, but not for a long time, it sinks a little but it is feasible. 3h in all. If you want to go further, like Angelus Hut, you have to be equipped with crampons I think.
Very nice (and quite easy) track, doable in 3-4 Hours. Fantastic Scenery, we suppose the mediocre reviews are by People who are a little bit Spoilt ;)
