Nice location next to the beach. Facilities ok. Many long term campers.

In mid-November, there was hardly anything going on. The sanitary facilities were extremely outdated but relatively clean. The Wi-Fi reaches the campsite but is limited to 500MB/24h.

Located right at a river mouth with a beautiful beach. The place was almost empty in mid-November. Very clean. With a bit of luck, you can see or at least hear penguins.

Nice camp site, off season was very quiet! Spacious and clean toilets and showers! The kitchen we used, there was 2, smelts quite fusty, but that was probably down to lack of use! Chance to see little penguins but we didn’t unfortunately.

Very good, off-season so super quiet, it seems like there are only residents. The penguins didn't come out, which is a shame, but it's not the campsite's fault, as they don't guarantee this activity. Well located. The lady who welcomed me was more than friendly, calling NZ-one for me regarding a mobile plan issue. Good experience for me. Clean, showers, toilets, kitchen, laundry room, TV lounge. I'll come back if I ever...

This place was awesome! $56 for an unpowered site was worth it as we were right by the water, there were plenty of toilets/showers/sinks and stovetops at no extra cost. So worth it! Clean and easy to use! My only negative is that the website wasn’t working properly and said fully booked but they had space. Otherwise, worth it 100%!

Emptying gray water and refilling fresh water is not possible without overnight stay! Not even for payment.

A bit disappointing. We only found out the next day that there were nice pitches in a great location where you could also see the penguins at night. We didn't like our place at all. When we asked, especially since everything was free, we were told that other guests had complained because the penguins were too loud at night. But I would have liked to have decided that myself, especially since we wanted unpowered and now we don't know whether we paid for powered. Sanitary was otherwise good.
