Camp is either empty and completely serene perfect for enjoying nature or absolutely full and absoluyr chaos with dogs, boy-racers, ghettoblasters, and locals making good use of the water. Rangers don't lock gates to the advertised times. Beautiful place! Hope the regenerative native planting continues!

Quiet lovely place, clean toilets. Swimming was not allowed (status 23 Dec 2023).

Gates were closed at the moment due to the river being contaminated.

1 night in January 20. Very quiet campsite, toilets were clean. Swimming in the river. No network.

Great spot with flush toilets. Not many people there so nice and quiet

No dogs. It’s a DOC site.

A super spot quiet and near the river. On 3 nights we spent 2 alone! Ideal except when you want to leave early (they never open or close the gate on time!)
