It was a very nice and clean campground. The staff were very friendly, and we were even able to check in spontaneously outside of regular hours. Very clean restrooms and a hot shower for 0.50 $.
What a beautiful spot! We had a pitch right on the beach with a fantastic view of the lighthouse and had a wonderful time. It was quite busy on the weekend, as many locals were also there (but it was still very relaxed and absolutely beautiful), but from Monday onwards we practically had the place to ourselves. Everything was clean and very well maintained <3
Great spot, nice and close to the beach. Reception staff were happy to let us choose our own spot, C6 had amazing views and was a bit more private. Amenities were great, plenty of fridges to use too. Recommend
The place is beautiful, the campsite is rather average. Clean, but the facilities are showing their age. The reception is very friendly. Wifi is only free for 30 minutes. Most of the pitches are sloping, so take levelers with you. Lots of long-term tenants.

Good price for ALL get. Yellow sand beach at your feet. Very very clean, a lot of space, your spot and the whole campsite, and a super friendly reception. A fish and chips 7/7 and nice walks. Although im selfcontained, I'll come back.

Lovely spot, close to really nice walks and beach . Expensive tho - not worth taking the beachfront sites . Hot showers lovely and only 50 cents

One of our fav spots in the greater Wellington region. Beachfront sites, friendly hosts and good facilities. Castlepoint is amazing in itself.

Castlepoint is amazing place and even of the camp ground is little bit expensive it is worth it to be at Castlepoint.
“Thanks, Sites in the beach front area with the view are powered and also larger at 8x9M. We have powered sites in the B row which are cheaper, but they don't have the view and the sites are 8x8m. Hopefully we have an option for all budgets.”
Good camp. last minute decision to go there. managed to get a park. not in the best spot but didnt really matter as castlepoint is so beautiful. Camp was quite expensive for the park we got. $45 per night
