This walk was absolutely worth it, the stairs were killer but the first sight of the tree took our breath away. Having learnt all about the trees and their sad history from the visitor centre first, seeing this tree was very significant

Stunning short walk (2.5hrs return) with gorgeous native rainforest and following the most tranquil bubbling stream. Great swimming holes along the way. The 900yr old Kauri is impressive & majestic ! Fairly flat first km and steep stairs for the second km.
