Best site we stayed at throughout North & South island. Hot pools were excellent, access from 6am on departure day, good showers and kitchen area, drying room was great for our wet cycling/swimming gear, small number of campers well spaced out. A short drive from Rotorua but well worth the journey.
No dump station! Otherwise pleasant enough.
Wonderful place to camp due to the access to the hot pools. Campers can use the hot pools before the general public can come in which makes it very peaceful and relaxing. The pools are well maintained and in a beautiful setting. You can also walk to the hot spring which we would highly recommend. Only thing missing is a hairdryer in the bathroom!
Wonderful place to stay. Having access to hot pools after opening hours real bonus. Lots of pools to chose from. Facilities really good (as catering for day visitors too). Have their own camping area excluded for general public. Amazing to see the hot spring - 98degrees water pumping out!!! If you like a soak in the hot tub (or swim in the large hot water pool), this site is for you. Could be improved with better food in the restaurant or it opening after public hours, but self catering it’s al
Best campsite ever! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable and everything is very tastefully designed! Highly recommended!
Great area, nice campsite, friendly and helpful employees. Would recommend it at any time.
Hot pools were great and good opening hours (we could go in the evening and at 6am). Kitchen facilities were basic but we were fine as we had our own utensils. Bathroom and showers were clean. Place to fill up our drinking water as well. No WiFi or signal. Would definitely recommend
Great place to stay. We stayed in plot 12 which was right by the entrance but by the time everyone had arrived it wasn’t a problem. It was also located close to the facilities which was great. The hot pools were a great add on! Busy during the day but if you go before check out at 11am, it’s perfect because it’s only campers in there (public access opens at 10:30).
Nice place, really worth it as you get access to the pool on your arrival AND on your check out (if you stay 1 night). The tent sites are nice with grass and the equipments useful.
Good value if you’re planning to use the pools! Bathrooms are big and clean. Campsites are a bit small. Kitchen is small and simple (just 2 burners, microwave, toaster, and fridge). No WiFi. I had decent cell signal with 2degrees.
