We arrived after 2pm, and the office had signs on how to self check in. You can pay cash and put it in a cash box, or they accept card, but someone has to be on site to pay. We paid $40 for two people at an unpowered site. Kitchen was well appointed. Bathrooms and showers were a little dated but got the job done. We chatted with Fletcher, who seemed like a nice human. Overall, a pleasant and quiet place to stay!
Sweet little place, friendly staff, good facilities- lovely warm shower. Quirky decorations, overall a good campsite :)
We loved this rustic camping just up the road from glowworm caves - very friendly hosts; roomy shared space for hanging out, with vintage decor and couches, full kitchen, drinks available in fridge, tables/chairs; warm showers... The farm environment and cows were fun & tours were offered. Stars were bright in the night sky. Communication was easy either by phonecall or text; check in was flexible. When I inadvertently left my necklace behind, the hosts very kindly agreed to mail it to me.
We paid $40 for two- we decided on a non-powered site ($5. For powered). We had a nice spot and it’s busy with the Glowworm caves nearby. Old but clean and functional toilets and showers.
Excellent place to stay meet the ducks lambs goat pigs and daisy the 🐎 great kitchen showers and cabins look great for $75 friendly family run business working hard to make it so great and looking for workers to help out loved it .
Really a good place to stay when we were going back to Auckland from the south. The price is pretty good while we enjoyed the farm stay. You can see lovely decorations everywhere and the country view is good. The farm tour in the morning is great, you can feed the pigs, sheep, bunnies, horse by yourself. Really had a good time here
