We stayed here in Feb 2025 and had a wonderful time. Jane was friendly and welcoming along with the locals in the pub ☺️ the beach is a short wee walk to the campsite ☺️ beautiful scenery and I would highly recommend to any tourist to stop here ☺️

beautiful spot! camp has bathrooms, recycling and a place for your rubbish! aswell as a kitchen and a nice seating area aswell. didn’t use any other amenities so not sure about the rest! showers are $2 for 5 minutes short walk right to the beach i stayed in a non powered site and spots are spaced out nicely so you can have some privacy! the owner came over shortly after i arrived and told me about the camp and was very nice! everything was very clean including the areas to park!

Charming, quiet and peaceful campsite!! Absolutely lovely unpowered sites nestled between trees and bushes, facilities are super clean and spacious (hot showers $2 for 5mins). A short walk to a stunning beach with a historic shipwreck! Lovely sound of the waves from the site, friendly kind owners and a beautiful calm vibe all round! Would recommend to anyone - so worth seeing this area of the beautiful west coast.

Lovely spot, only a couple minutes walk to the beach, plenty of spots and we were able to book online, but seems like you can call up on the day and they should have space. Staff were very friendly. Great kitchen facilities. $2 coin needed for 5 minute hot shower (free cold shower). Few sandflies in evening but not too bad!

11/05/2024 (unpowered) great stay at this campsite! nice clean bathrooms and showers, neatly trimmed lawn perfect for our tent, lovely firepit to keep us warm at night. Nice and cosy pub across the road, I mean what more could you want? thanks Jane for the veggies!

Fantastic camp on a beautiful beach/river mouth. Plenty of open space, clean and tidy facilities. New managers doing a fabulous job. Wood fired hot tub also available , will be back for a soak

Good place. Friendly welcome. Facilities very clean. Nice area. Is recommended. However, no Visa card payment is possible. 20 NZD per person and night.Showering and washing on top.

Great and clean place. Fair price for high season. Unpowered 2 adults 36$.

Stayed for one night in the pouring rain. Everyone made us so welcome and all the facilities were incredibly clean and well maintained. Thank you so much for Tony and Di ( and Dad) in the pub - what a great place! Tasted whitebait patties (didn’t know about the whitebait festival!) and we were thrilled. Brilliant xxx
