The place is AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL; it's definitely worth spending the night there. There's no cell service, so arrange everything before you go. It has clean bathrooms and a BBQ!

Very nice chill spot, a lot of space. Also bbq grills, rather clean bathrooms and outside sink to wash dishes. Water not safe to drink tho.

Superb free camp, the toilets are really very clean and superb. Negative point can phone network. Starry nights are magical

Stayed here for two nights March 27th and 28th. 1 toilet out of use. Arrived about 4pm with a couple other vans already there. a few more arrived, full but didn’t feel busy. Cute park and sandpit area with picnic tables and public bbqs. Pier is nice for wander. Really good quiet little spot. The next day (bank holiday) quite a few locals and families came and stayed quite late making some noise and then there were fireworks at 11pm on the water. Great spot. Basic but good!

Peaceful site with clean toilets. Good spot if you like to fish too.

Arrived around 5pm, could choose a spot but got filled up around 6pm. We were 7 inside the designated area. Two parked outside. Don’t think they got a fine, but I left around 7am. But I’m also not sure if places like this will get closed if folks keep ignoring the signs. Two toilets and sinks inside, one sink outside. Boil water before using it. Felt safe (female, solo). Poor reception, nice playground

Really nice spot. Lovely and quiet with nice sunset views of the wharf. Spots fill up v quickly but a few people in tents did camp around the outskirts with no problem. Locals don’t seem to mind, some coming in and out with their boats. A few came with quads but were gone before sundown. Toilets are fine. There’s an outside sink that is good for dishes. Honestly way than some paid DOC sites

Great quiet spot, electric barbecue and clean toilets!

Very clean toilet. Good spot for picnic - grill and tables available. We stayed bit out of allowed space because there was 5 motor homes that were parked very widely. On Friday night there was some party going on near the water but didn’t distract us.
