Coes Ford and Chamberlains Ford next to it are both closed probably for the whole winter from 29.04 :( we absolutely loved the spot, it has a using toilets, sinks and benches. We were sleeping there today but in the morning a DOC worker told us that we need to go because he will be closing the gates - so we assume it will be closed for the winter from now. But would recommend the spot! :) poor phone signal
This campground is one of our favorites. We stayed there at the beginning and end of our trip. It has three restroom areas, and the main one—number 1—has a flush toilet and a sink area in the back. Some areas aren't covered, so you have to be careful if it rains heavily so you don't get stuck in the grass. Otherwise, it's wonderful.
Great site, very large, plenty of secluded spots. Quiet. Picnic tables. Several clean toilets.
For a a free campsite this is an excellent spot not too far from Christchurch. Very spacious, decent long drop toilets for being free. No other amenities provided. No booking required.
Very good campsite with plenty of space
Good place to stay, a lot of space. But no-signal. :) toilets & drinking water available.
Really nice place, plenty of space and really quiet. It’s beautiful, we spent one whole day and loved it. The toilets are a bit gross and don’t have sink. No drinkable water. Bad phone signal.
Nice camp, plenty of space in the grass, tree for shade Drop toilet, weak signal
Loads of space. Okay phone signal. Long drop toilets. Rubbish disposal available.
First stop on our tour and this place was everything you’d need to get started from a free site fully recommend.
