The website for this camp site makes it appear much better than it is. Very basic facilities and only unisex showers/toilets. We stayed at the other camp site in Methven which was much better for a similar price.

Good location within 2 minute walk to restaurants and shops. Unisex toilets and showers which we personally didn’t feel comfortable with and only 2 toilets/ 3 showers. WiFi didn’t work at all on any of our devices.

Good location, walkable to Opuke spa and shops/bars etc. Good Wi-Fi, big site spaces. Unisex bathroom, 3x cubicles, not amazingly clean. Showers cost $1 per 5 mins (didn’t use these). Don’t bother with driers, $1 for 10mins - we did an hour on small load and still came out damp. Reception opened 20 mins late, annoying as we needed more money for driers. All in all, an ok campsite for one night stay but we didn’t want a second night.

Great wifi, close to shops and bars/cafes. Outdated amenities with coin operated showers. Next to a bus depot so expect an early rise if you’re a light sleeper.

Easy to access and with everything you need. For the price, the shower could have been included (instead you need $1 coins to operate the showers). Good Wi-Fi connection.

A quirky little place, with several long term residents - summer is the off season as they cater for local skiing Positives - handy for local restaurants (including an Irish bar that serves better burgers than Fergburger) - easy striking distance to jet boating - on site water and black/grey dump Negatives - the showers and toilets obviously hadn’t been cleaned for several days - there is no excuse for this - pay showers, although one dollar will do 5 mins

Very good location, walking distance to lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Definitely too expensive for the amenities available. Showers were a dollar for 5 minutes payable by coin only & the kitchen area wasn’t very clean.

Nice small site

Stayed for 2 nights. Central but, toilets/ showers and kitchen not cleaned at all. Their signs said daily cleaning but it did not happen while we were there.

Bien situé, près du Mont Hutt. Emplacement grand et électricité dispo. Mais malchance pour nous ? Problème avec l’eau chaude donc pas de douche chaude (1$ les 5min), point de vidange plein donc pas possible de vider notre van. Cuisine à disposition et personnel sympa
